Christmas Tree Recycling At Carlyle Lake

The US Army Corps of Engineers at Carlyle Lake will collect used, real Christmas trees through January 29, for their annual Christmas Tree Recycling Project. Trees are put in the lake to provide effective and economical fish habitat. Trees, free of all garland and tinsel, can be dropped off at Plantland on Old Rt. 50, east of Breese, or the Allen Branch Boat Ramp or Little Prairie Nature Trail at Carlyle Lake.
