911 Board Enters Six-year Upgrade Agreement

In their meeting Thursday, the Bond County 911 Board was presented with a choice pertaining to a required upgrade of a piece of equipment: Pay a onetime fee of over $60,000 for the upgrade, or purchase a six-year upgrade agreement from Motorola. The board voted unanimously to enter into the upgrade agreement for an annual fee that decreases each year. The first year will cost the board $12,500; the second year, $10,000; and following years will be around $8,000 apiece.
