Benefit Concert To Be Held For Local Chef And Artist

A benefit concert and silent auction will be held for local chef and artist Christina Griesemer Saturday, February 1 at 1:00 p.m. at the Globe Theater in Greenville. Christina has worked at Mario’s Pizza in Greenville for over 20 years. She is also the creator of all the art in the restaurant.

In November, Christina suffered multiple strokes that drastically affected the left side of her body. Many local friends banded together after hearing the news to put on the benefit concert to help offset medical expenses.

The concert will feature local musicians Steph Plant and Sarah Velasquez, The Wildflower Conspiracy, and The Gorgeous Home Bois. The event includes a silent auction for original artwork from local artists and wares from local businesses. Admission for the benefit concert is $10.

Christina is documenting her journey to recovery on Facebook. Her page is “Christina Griesemer – The Girl From Mario’s”.
