Frozen Sprinklers Lead To Ceiling Collapse At Helia Healthcare

Greenville Firefighters responded today at 6:15 a.m. to a reported smoke detector alarm at Helia Healthcare.  According to Fire Chief Bill Johnston, sprinkler lines in the ceiling in the east end of B Wing were frozen, resulting in a sprinkler system alarm.  Johnston said a 6 x 12 foot section of the ceiling in one room collapsed but there were no injuries.  Smithboro Firefighters also responded to provide mutual aid if needed.  Fire department personnel were on the scene about half an hour.
