Greenville Firefighters Respond To Truck Rollover And Grass Fire

Greenville Firefighters responded Wednesday morning at 5:48 a.m., to a report of smoke from a semi-truck involved a rollover accident at the 45 mile marker on the westbound off-ramp of Interstate 70. According to the fire report, firefighters found no sign of smoke or fire. They were on the scene about 15 minutes.

Greenville firefighters also responded Wednesday at 12:07 p.m. to a report of a grass fire in the 1400 block of Woburn Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find less than one acre of grass had burned and the fire had almost burned out. They extinguished the remaining fire. The fire was caused by a transformer arcing, Southwestern Electric was already on scene when crews arrived and the transformer is back in service. Firefighters were on the scene for approximately 15 minutes.
