Greenville Police 2013 Activity Report

The Greenville Police Department has issued their activity report for 2013.

Crimes against persons were up in 2013.  Police responded to 7 incidents of battery last year, compared to 4 in 2012.  One assault was reported, up from 0 in 2012.

Residential burglary was up from 10 in 2012 to 12 last year.  Police received 40 reports of criminal damage to property in 2013 – 6 more than the number received in 2012.

Offenses involving juveniles were down from 28 in 2012 to 26 in 2013.  Drug offenses were up from 14 in 2012 to 18 last year.  Illegal possession or consumption of alcohol by minors jumped to 8 in 2013 – up from 2 in 2012.

Greenville Police made 479 traffic arrests last year, compared to 352 in 2012 and 182 criminal arrests in 2013, up from 137 in 2012.

Fire reports were down for the districts in Bond County. The Greenville, Keyesport, Mulberry Grove, Pocahontas, Shoal Creek, and Smithboro Fire Protection Districts responded to a combined 849 calls last year – down from 869 in 2012.
