Greenville Public Library Plans To Replace Roof

The Greenville Public Library Board plans to replace the library’s roof this spring. Library Director Mike Westbrooks told WGEL the library’s dome will make this project more challenging because of its unique structure.

Westbrooks also said after much consideration, the board has decided to install a metal roof for the dome and composite shingles for the rest of the roof in hopes of delaying the need to replace the roof again for another 40 to 50 years.

The Library Board anticipates the project will be bid out and hopes to begin work on the roof in mid to late April.
