Highland Middle School Presents Willy Wonka Jr

Highland Middle School’s upcoming performance of Willy Wonka Jr. will feature a cast of 32 middle school students and a few elementary students. Their performance will be one of the last for this show as performance rights for Willy Wonka Jr. as a stage production will no longer be available beginning June 2014. Assistant Principal Vince Hughes told us he expects a great performance.

“Well, if you have never seen a middle school musical, you would want to come out for this because it is more entertaining than you could imagine,” Hughes said. “It’s middle school kids for the first time, or for the most part for the first time, performing on stage. It’s always entertaining.”

Performances for Willy Wonka Jr. will be January 31 and February 1 at the Highland Elementary School Auditorium. Doors open at 7:00 pm. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
