Humane Society Reminds Pet Owners To Be Cautious In Cold Weather

The Bond County Humane Society is reminding pet owners that your four-legged friends are just as likely to get frostbite or hypothermia as people are when the temperatures drop.

This winter, remember that although dogs and cats have fur, they also have different body temperatures than humans and should not be taken for long walks in the snow.

Pets that do spend time outdoors need plenty of unfrozen water and warm shelter.
