The Comets baseball program held their annual I-70 Coaches Clinic Monday. Greenville High School Athletic Director Joe Alstat told us it was a big success.
“Over 180 coaches were in attendance from four different states to hear speakers such as Pat Murphy, Rick Carpenter, Itchy Jones, and Gary Henderson,” Alstat told us. “It was great attendance and a great turnout and I’d like to thank all those who helped make it possible with several sponsorships and volunteers, etc., to help pull off a great event.”
Alstat said Monday’s event was their highest attendance for a year that didn’t feature Tony Larussa as the special guest. Overall, it was the third-highest attendance for the event.
