The Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees approved five program articulation agreements with Southern Illinois University Carbondale at their meeting Monday, January 27. Kaskaskia College Dean of Arts and Sciences Kellie Henegar told us more about the partnership.
“Basically, what this agreement does for our students, and for SIUC, is it provides a clear pathway for the students to do their first two years with us and their second two years with Carbondale,” Henegar told WGEL. “It’s just good to know as a freshman that if you do the work you have to do in front of you at KC, that you’re guaranteed to that transferability seamlessly to the program.”
Henegar said the five programs outlined in the 2 + 2 engineering curriculum are civil engineering, electrical engineering, mining engineering, computer engineering and mechanical engineering.
