On Sunday, January 12, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department received a call from Shelby County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a missing person. Eric Bird, age 23, of Tower Hill had been missing since the prior evening. At approximately 7:43 p.m. a family member of Bird located his truck near the intersection of Christian County Road and Montgomery County Road.
The truck was on its roof in a creek bottom. Bird was found in the vehicle and later pronounced deceased by the Montgomery County Coroner. Bird was traveling south when the vehicle left the roadway. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office is continuing the investigation.
