The Madison County Sherriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 25 year old woman found dead in the bathroom at CC Food Mart Gas Station in Highland on Sunday. According to police 25 year old Angela Lamar of Worchester New York was found unresponsive in the bathroom of CC Food Mart on George Street in Highland at 1AM Sunday morning.
Lamar was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland where she was pronounced dead. Police allege a syringe and heroin filled capsules were seized during their investigation but an official cause of death is pending toxicological examinations. According to police Lamar was traveling through the area with her boyfriend who is an over the road truck driver. The investigation into the death is continuing by the Madison County Sherriff’s Department.
