Bond County Humane Society Continues To Meet Original Goal

The Bond County Humane Society recently announced the number of adoptions completed in 2013. Humane Society Representative Rachel Hunsdorfer said the organization has consistently met its original adoption goal.

“When we started the organization, our goal was to adopt out 10 animals a month, and we continue to do that,” Hunsdorfer told WGEL. “We adopted out 87 cats or kittens and 53 dogs or puppies last year.”

Hunsdorfer said the Humane Society is always in need of volunteers and animal foster homes. For more information on how to help, call the center at 664-4068.
