Greenville Police Department Releases February Report

The Greenville Police Department recently released its February 2014 report. There was one reported theft from a motor vehicle, one theft of items valued at less than $500.00, one shoplifting theft, and two reports of criminal damage to property. These totals are slightly less than those from the same time in 2013 except for thefts less than $500.00. Through February 2013, the department received nine reported thefts of items valued at less than $500.00.

There were two offenses involving juveniles and four dealing with illegal drugs. Traffic violations include four uninsured motorist, one DUI, four driver’s license offenses, 13 speeding, and one seat belt violation. Officers responded to seven traffic accidents. The department dispatched area fire districts to 86 calls. Pocahontas-Old Ripley had 28 calls, Greenville 19, Shoal Creek 13, Mulberry Grove 11, Smithboro 9, and Keyesport 6.
