Mini Abe Visits Greenville

Mini Abe, a marketing effort by the Illinois Office of Tourism, recently visited Greenville.

The real Abe Lincoln was here in September 1858 as part of his US Senate campaign and visited with Greenville resident William Smith. The couch that Lincoln sat on during his visit is on display at the Bond County Historical Society’s Hoiles-Davis Museum. Mini Abe decided to try it out during his quick tour of Greenville. You can hear more about his visit in WGEL’s Bond County Area News.
