Mulberry Grove FPD Banquet Honors Volunteers

The Mulberry Grove Fire Protection District discussed the year in review and presented awards at their annual banquet on Saturday night. The district responded to 87 calls in 2013, 29 of which were fire calls. The remaining 58 were first responder calls.

The award for Fireman of the Year went to Chuck Steiner, who has been with the department four years. John Greenwood, who has been with the department 15 years, was named First Responder of the Year. Paul Lutz and Dwight Volkmar were also presented awards for 30 years of service.

John and Jay Greenwood were also recognized for their work on a USDA Grant that funded the purchase of new rescue tools in 2013.
