No Injuries At Ammunition Plant Blast


No injuries were reported after an ammunition plant went up in smoke Sunday. It happened at the Winchester Ammunition plant in East Alton Sunday morning. Fire officials say the blaze started in a maintenance building but the exact cause hasn’t been revealed yet. Several propane cylinders exploded, but officials say they weren’t near the more dangerous materials. It took at least seven local fire departments to put the fire out.
