Two Suspects Taken Into Custody For Highland Bank Robbery

A suspect in the armed robbery of an ATM at Bradford National Bank in Highland was taken into custody in Highland at approximately 6:30 Sunday evening through a joint investigation by the Highland Police Department, the FBI, and the ATF. A second suspect was also taken into custody by Jackson County, Michigan officers at 12:45 a.m. Monday morning.

Police say the two allegedly used a large caliber semi automatic weapon to rob the Bradford ATM while an employee was tending to it at around 8:30 Friday morning. No one was injured in the incident.

Officials with the Highland Police Department thanked the community for their support and the leads that were generated during the investigation and said the quick resolution to this crime is “an example of true and complete community policing at its finest”.

Formal charges will be sought by the FBI in the next couple of days, but specific details have not yet been released.
