County Clerk Has Smooth Night With Primary Election Process

Bond County Clerk Randy Reitz says his office had a smooth night tabulating results from Tuesday’s primary election.

I’d like to take the time to really thank all the hard workers who worked [Tuesday],” said Reitz. “It made one of the best election evenings we’ve had. Everything went smooth, there was no glitch anywhere.”

Reitz said the only thing left to be desired had to do with the 13% voter turnout in Bond County.

“The only downside was there weren’t enough people that voted. I just heard from a southern county that had a 49.95 percent turnout. Oh, I’d love to have that on a primary.”

Your next chance to vote in Bond County will be the general election on Tuesday, November 4th.
