Early Bird Deadline Approaching For KPD Baseball

The early bird deadline for Kingsbury Park District baseball is Wednesday, March 26. Park District Director Jerry Sauerwein told us about a change in league arrangements for this year’s program.

Baseball starts at age 5 at tee ball and we go all the way to age 15,” Sauerwein said. “We’ve kind of changed the petition policies. We’re basically letting kids play with their grade instead of their age, so anybody that has a child that has been started when they were 6 instead of 5 in kindergarten, then they can talk to us and they can fill out the proper paperwork and they can have their child play with their grade instead of their age.

If registered before March 26, fees for tee ball and the soft toss league are $25 for players living in the district, and $37.50 for out of district players. All other baseball leagues cost $35 for in district and $47.50 out of district. Baseball registration forms are available at the Kingsbury Park District office or online at www.kingsburyparkdistrict.com .
