Early Voting Started Monday

Early voting for the March 18th primary started Monday and will be available through Saturday, March 15th. Bond County Clerk Randy Reitz said there are some advantages to getting your vote in early.

“It’s kind of hard to believe how quickly the election has come about, but one of the options that has become more popular throughout our past elections is early voting,” Reitz told WGEL. “This is a form of absentee voting, but you don’t have to have a reason. For example, what’s the weather going to be like March 18? As it’s gone, we have no idea, but if today looks good, and you have some free time, you can come into my office and vote and have it done with.”

Reitz said he hopes to see more people taking advantage of the early voting option.
