Greenville College recently began using predictive analytics based on historical and current learning data to help identify which students are potentially at risk and help them stay on the path to graduation. The Student Success System tool is a finalist for the Learning Impact Award provided by the IMS Global Learning Consortium which recognizes outstanding applications of technology that address the most significant challenges facing global education and the learning industry.
The predictive analytics technology has received positive feedback from faculty and has been especially recognized for its value to instructors with fifty or more students in their class. The college is still in its early days with this pioneering technology, but looks forward to new opportunities for the faculty to understand the performance and engagements of their students.
