Local Firefighters Respond To Multiple Fires Tuesday

Keyesport Firefighters responded Tuesday, at 1:51 p.m., to a reported timber fire on Deer Trail.  Mulberry Grove Firefighters were paged for mutual aid.

Pocahontas-Old Ripley Firefighters were paged to a report of a grass fire Tuesday, at 3:23 p.m., on Rt. 140.  Greenville Firefighters responded at 3:55 to a call for mutual aid.  According to the fire report, approximately 65 acres of field and grass burned.  No injuries were reported and no damage resulted.  Firefighters were on the scene about an hour and a half.

Keyesport Firefighters were called again Tuesday, at 5:11 p.m., to a grass fire on Beaver Creek Trail.  Mulberry Grove Firefighters were paged for mutual aid.

Greenville Firefighters responded Tuesday, at 7:12 p.m., to a report of a shed fire on Vine Street.  According to the fire report, the fire was in a garden area and was quickly extinguished.  Firefighters were on the scene about twenty minutes.
