More Tornado Activity Confirmed

The National Weather Service has confirmed yet another tornado from the severe weather our listening area saw on Thursday, February 20th.

The newly-confirmed tornado took place in Montgomery County, four miles southeast of Nokomis, and traveled to about 7.7 miles east of Nokomis.  The tornado was ranked an EF1 containing winds of 100 miles per hour. It primarily caused intermittent damage to farm outbuildings and trees and destroyed a high-voltage electrical transmission tower about 4.5 miles southeast of Nokomis.
