The Greenville Tourism Committee met Thursday night at City Hall. The committee discussed the budget and the addition of some larger advertising commitments. The board will recommended to the city council that $25,000 of tourism funds be used to help promote the Bicentennial in 2015 and that $5,000 be used to help the Independence Day celebration at Patriot’s Park.
Three tourism fund requests that have been approved in the past were not requested this year, freeing up some of the funds needed for the Bicentennial and Independence Day celebrations. These recommendations will go into the tourism budget for approval by the Greenville City Council.
