The US Army Corps of Engineers at Carlyle Lake is asking for volunteers to help with the annual Christmas tree recycling project. More than 1500 trees have been collected and Saturday, March 8, they will be placed in Carlyle Lake to provide fish breeding and protection areas. Volunteers should come to the Carlyle Sailing Association Boat Ramp at Eldon Hazlet State Park at 8:30 a.m. For more information, call the Lake Project Office at 594-2484.
