The Bond County Independence Day Festival Association has announced the schedule of events for their upcoming Fourth Fest, which will be held July 4th at Patriot’s Park, west of Greenville.
Association President Scott Crothers filled us in on the details.
“We had a great meeting this month. We finalized a number of food vendors and inflatables,” Crothers told WGEL. “We finalized our bands as well as the schedule. It’s going to be a great event.
“It looks like the food and inflatables are going to open up about 5:00 p.m. with the Municipal Band then playing at 6:00. The Jim Miller Band is going to come on and play a set for us 7:00, leading us up to the fireworks at about 9:15. And then we’ll have a great fireworks display and the Jim Miller Band will come back on afterwards and close us out with another set. We’ll be done by about 11:00. It’ll be a really great event and I hope to see a lot of people out there.”
The upcoming Fourth Fest will mark the first time in two years that Greenville has had a 4th of July celebration. You can search for the Bond County Independence Day Festival Association on Facebook to keep up with the latest on the July 4th event.
