Body Of Litchfield Robbery Suspect Found Friday

The body of an aggravated robbery suspect was found Friday afternoon in rural Litchfield. Lieutenant Christopher Robinson of the Litchfield Police Department told us on Thursday, April 10 the suspect allegedly presented a note indicating he had a gun and wanted the pharmacist at Walgreens in Litchfield to hand over prescription medication. After allegedly taking possession of the meds, the suspect fled the scene.

A rural Litchfield property owner observed a vehicle parked on his property matching the suspect vehicle description on Monday, April 14. Robinson said police found the note that was presented to the pharmacist during the robbery, an empty bottle of the prescription medication and a suicide note. After a grounds search and an air search, cadaver dogs from Gateway Search Dogs in St. Louis located the body around 2:00 p.m. Friday. The body was later identified as Chad L. Ricker, age 39 of Slinger, Wisconsin. Robinson said no evidence has been found as to why Ricker was in Litchfield.
