Dennis Lindley Named Pocahontas-old Ripley Fire Chief

The Pocahontas-Old Ripley Fire Department has a new fire chief; Dennis Lindley is a lifelong resident of the Pocahontas area. Lindley told WGEL about his years of service to the department.

“I’ve been on the fire department for about 18 years. I started as a junior firefighter at age 14. I worked my way up from a junior firefighter up to a lieutenant, up to a captain, to assistant chief, and now I’m taking over as fire chief for Kendall Brink.”

Retiring Fire Chief Brink was appointed Tuesday by the Bond County Board to a three year term on the Pocahontas-Old Ripley Fire Protection District Board.
