Mulberry Grove Village Votes To Buy New Equipment

At their regular meeting Monday, the Mulberry Grove Village Board approved the purchase of a meter and water line locator for approximately $1200. The new piece of equipment assists in locating water lines in the event of a leak or when other maintenance is needed. The board also approved the purchase of a new weed eater for approximately $400.

Mulberry Grove Teachers and Junior Class Sponsors Karen Clark and Bobby Koonce asked the board for support of the class’s 5-K run/walk through town. The run/walk is Saturday, April 26, with race-day registration at 7:15 a.m. and the race at 8:30. The board sanctioned the event and several board members signed up to participate.

Police Officer Robert Sutton reported the new spotlight was installed on the police car.

Board members discussed wording of the Doty Sanitation contract. They scheduled a special meeting for Monday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m., to finalize the contract and work on the AGE agreement.
