Quilt Show Accepting Submissions For Block Contest

If submitting a completed quilt is a little too ambitious for you, the Bond County Historical Society’s 12th Annual Quilt Show is now accepting submissions for a smaller project contest.

“We also have a block contest that is open to children and adults,” Jan Eyman of the Quilter’s Club told WGEL.” The theme this year is red and white, and those entries need to be in by April 12th.”

The block contest will be split into age divisions, with one contest for adults, one for children ages 5 through 8, one for ages 9 through 12 and another for ages 13 to 18. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place winners in each division. The Quilt Show will be held Saturday, May 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Greenville Free Methodist Church.

For more information or to submit a block entry, call Jan at 326-7343.
