Vacancy On Unit 2 Board

The Bond County Unit #2 Board of Education now has a vacancy on the board. Scott Workman, a resident of Burgess Township, was elected to the board in 2013, but has relocated to Central Township. The board currently seats three other members from Central Township, making Workman ineligible to continue serving on the board.

Workman has resigned and the school district will accept applications for a replacement.

The vacancy can be filled by anyone 18 and older residing in the Unit #2 School District in Tamalco, Pleasant Mound, Mulberry Grove, Mills, LaGrange, Burgess, Old Ripley, Shoal Creek, Grisham, or Walshville Townships. Interested candidates must have lived in the Unit #2 School District for at least a year and must be a registered voter.

Candidates need to provide a letter of interest to Superintendent Jeff Strieker at 1008 North Hena, Greenville, IL 62246 or via email at Applications should be submitted no later than Thursday, April 17.
