At their recent meeting, the Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees recognized Bill Mathena of Kell, Illinois, with a formal resolution bestowing upon him the Kaskaskia College Honorary Associate of Arts Degree. Bill Mathena has been employed at KC for nearly thirty years and is a Professor of Biological Sciences. He has also served as Professor of Agriculture. Professor Mathena is well respected as a professor and recognized for his mastery of the subject he teaches, his professionalism, his approachability, and his strong focus on student learning. The honorary degree is the highest honor bestowed upon an individual by the Board of Trustees and will be formally presented at the Kaskaskia College Commencement ceremony Friday, May 16.
