The Greenville FFA Chapter recently participated in the Kaskaskia College Invitational Dairy Judging Contest and took third place out of 54 teams. Brennan Woker received 12th place individually and Josh Laesch received 10th place individually. The team also participated in the state contest and is now awaiting results.

A group of five FFA members competed in the Sectional Ag Mechanics Contest Thursday. Greenville’s FFA team ranked fourth place overall. Individually, Adam Cruthis placed fourth in carpentry, Larry Edwards placed fourth in electricity and Tyler Thiems placed first in survey.

The Illinois Farm Bureau Youth Education Committee also recently announced that the Greenville FFA Chapter won the section in both the Cooperative Program and the Heritage program. In the cooperative activities award area, the chapter won second place in the state, which will give some FFA members the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. this summer.
