The Greenville Municipal Band recently released their schedule for the 2014 concert season. The band will play each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. during the months of May and June.
They’ll play May 29 on the courthouse lawn, June 5 for the Kiwanis Ice Cream Social at the First Presbyterian Church, June 12 for the Book Fair at First Christian Church, June 19 at the Hoiles-Davis Museum, June 26 on the Court House lawn and on Friday, July 4 at 6:00 p.m. at Patriot’s Park.
“There will always be music for the audience to sing – ‘The Star Spangled Banner’, ‘God Bless America’, ‘America the Beautiful’, and marches, show tunes, and folk tunes” said Muny Band Conductor Chris Woods. “We’ve got a little bit of everything.”
All concerts are free of charge. In case of rain, concerts will be held in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville.
