Lifetime Achievement Award Given To Max Aten

Max Aten was recently recognized for the many years he has dedicated to education in Bond County.

“On Wednesday, April 23, the local Kaskaskia Region of the Illinois Principals Association honored Max Aten and he received the James Rupert Lifetime Achievement Award for his longevity in education,” Sorento Principal Bill Carpenter told WGEL. “Max has been in education for 47 years and 45 in the Bond County School District, so it is a well-deserved award and Max is a very special person to our school district.”

Aten received the award during the Kaskaskia Region of the Illinois Principal’s Association’s annual banquet.
