Lincolnwood Principal Killed In Car Accident

A Montgomery County high school principal was killed Friday in a car accident.

According to the Panhandle School District School Board President, Chad Langheim, Lincolnwood Junior-Senior High School Principal and Co-Superintendent of the Panhandle School District #2, was killed Friday at 9:04 p.m. in a single-car accident.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, Langheim was driving a 2011 Jeep south on Black Diamond Trail, north of North 21st Avenue in Bois D’Arc Township when the vehicle left the road, traveled through the west ditch and hit a large metal culvert. Langheim was ARCHed to Memorial Medical Center in Springfield where he died from his injuries.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and Sangamon County Coroner’s Office are investigating the crash.
