Mulberry Grove Superintendent On Principal Ryan Bauer

In their meeting Monday night, the Mulberry Grove Unit 1 School Board accepted the resignation of both Superintendent Mike Gauch and High School Principal Ryan Bauer.

Gauch explained that both resignations are for family reasons. Bauer is taking over the family farm and Gauch has accepted the superintendent position at Harrisburg, Illinois, east of Marion, where he will be closer to his family.

WGEL spoke with Superintendent Gauch about Principal Ryan Bauer and the impact he’s had on Mulberry Grove High School.

“Ryan Bauer will be sorely missed by this district,” Gauch said. “In any profession it’s easy to walk a new person in and hope the transition will be seamless. But in my years here at Mulberry Grove, I don’t think you’ll find another person who put in the time and dedication and commitment that Ryan Bauer has had for Mulberry Grove.”

The resignations of both Mike Gauch and Ryan Bauer are effective at the end of the current school year.
