Students Awarded Scholarships At Academic Program

Several graduating seniors were awarded local scholarships during Greenville High School’s Academic Foundation Academic Awards program Tuesday night. Megan Fritzsche was awarded the Ralph and Audrey Broom Scholarship, the Lion’s Club Scholarship and the VFW Post 1377 Scholarship.

Haley Pierce was awarded the Sara Cunningham Memorial Scholarship and Laura Riddle received the Dotti Corn Scholarship. The Sports Boosters Dale Jurgena Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Reid Rinella and the Boosters Dotti Corn Memorial Scholarship went to Kassidy Alderman, who could not attend the ceremony.

Kylea Walker received the Bradford National Bank Scholarship and the First National Bank Scholarship went to two recipients—Whitney Gray and Devon Leitschuh. Joshua Laesch was awarded the Southwestern Electric Scholarship and Jessica Ronat received the Optimist General Scholarship in memory of Jerry Craig. The Bill Wise Optimist Scholarship was given to Cortney Lurkins, and Payton Cline was awarded the Art Bollinger Scholarship.

The David Walker Memorial Service Scholarship went to two recipients—Sarah Douglas and Taylor Hill. Both Kylee Kidd and Haley Maples received the Kaskaskia College Board of Trustees Scholarship. The Vernon Heuer Memorial Scholarship was awarded to both William Funderburk and Clint Meadows and the American Red Cross Scholarship went to Taylor Hill.
