Breese Police have announced that they have a person in custody in connection with the alleged fatal hit and run accident that took place Sunday, June 8th on Old Rt. 50 on the west side of Breese.
Police say the individual in custody is being cooperative at this time and the investigation continues. Formal charges are expected to be filed as more information is known.
At 2:13 a.m. Sunday, June 8, Breese Police received a report of a female walking in and out of traffic on Rt. 50. Upon their arrival, police found 23-year-old Lana Albert of Edwardsville, who appeared to have been killed after being struck by an unknown vehicle.
