A 9 year old Breese boy who was reported missing Monday night is safe at home again. Breese Police Chief Bob Fix told WGEL the boy, who has medical issues, went outside to play Monday around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. When his parents hadn’t seen him by 9:00 p.m., they called police.
Breese Police, the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, the Clinton County Emergency Management Agency, and police and firefighters from Aviston, Germantown, and Beckemeyer conducted a search for the boy.
After a code red alert was sent to area residents, a woman called police saying her son told her he’d been playing with the missing boy that day.
The boy was found a short distance away, hiding in some bushes. Chief Fix told us the boy was very scared, possibly as a result of his medical condition. After being checked out by EMTs, the boy was sent home with his family. Fix told WGEL the situation had the best possible outcome and thanked the more than 100 individuals who helped with the search.
