Former Comet Drafted By The Royals

Todd Eaton

Former Greenville Comet Todd Eaton was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 34th round of this year’s Major League Baseball draft.

Eaton has been a workhorse for the SIUC Salukis, tying the all-time saves record of 19, and placing 4th on the all-time career appearances list with 89. Eaton would likely have set the saves record had he not been moved to a starter during his senior year, according to the SIUC website.

Eaton played baseball and football for the Greenville Comets.
