GHS Teacher Retires After 30 Years Of Service

After 30 years of teaching, Carol Lingley recently announced her retirement from Bond County Unit 2 Schools. Principal Wendy Porter told us about Lingley’s service.

“Carol is retiring this year after serving since 1984, teaching Home Ec and Special Ed,” Porter said. “I know as a teacher, she has touched many students’ lives by her caring and concern for them as individuals and she will be missed by them.

“She is planning on continuing her work with the county and 4H so she still will be very busy.”

Porter said she wishes Lingley the best in her retirement.
