The Greenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary Book fair opens tonight and continues through Saturday, June 14 at the First Christian Church. Jack Chism with the auxiliary told us more about the event.
“We will fill up a church gymnasium, at First Christian, with tables full of books. We’ll have probably somewhere around 40,000 pieces on display, every kind of book you can imagine — fiction, non-fiction, children, music books, religious books, and some movies and music as well.
“Last year we raised, I think, $15,000 or so for the hospital auxiliary.”
Chism said the book fair will run Thursday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
