If you plan on watching the Cardinals play today, you might notice a familiar face on the mound. Highland High School alumnus Jake Odorizzi will open the two-game series today, pitching for the Tampa Bay Rays.
During his time as a Bulldog, Odorizzi led his Highland baseball team to the Illinois State Championship. Since then, Odorizzi has played for the Milwaukee Brewers, the Kansas City Royals and was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays in December 2012. Tuesday’s game is scheduled to start at 6:10 p.m. Central Time.
