Illinois Man Didn’t Have MERS

The CDC is backtracking on its reports that an Illinois man had the MERS virus. They conducted more lab tests and determined the man was never infected. The state’s public health director says he’d rather err on the side of safety and warn the public about a potential risk, than not let them know if someone is infected.
