National Weather Service Is Predicting A Normal Summer

The National Weather Service is predicting a normal summer this year.

“Summer is about here. We’ve got some pretty hot temperatures moving in already, here in mid-June,” Meteorologist Jim Kramper told WGEL. “Unfortunately there’s no clear indicator of which way we’re going to go. There’s no strong climatic signals yet. We’re telling everyone to look for a normal summer. That means we’ll have some hot spells, but we’ll get a break here and there, hopefully.

“The thing to remember is when it gets hot, you’ve got to be careful.”

Kramper said people should watch for heat advisories and be cautious about spending too much time outside or in enclosed spaces, such as cars without running air conditioning.
