Plans Finalized For Fourth Fest In Greenville

With July 4th only a month away, the Bond County Independence Festival Association has finalized plans for Greenville’s Fourth Fest Association. President Scott Crothers told us more.

“Plans are coming along nicely for the Fourth Fest, this fourth of July out at Patriot’s Park,” Association President Scott Crothers told WGEL. “We’ve made great success towards hitting our fundraising goal, so we’re going to be able to have a great fireworks display — it’s going to be one of the best ever. We’re going to have a nice set of inflatables for the kids, as well as a nice band that’s going to perform for a couple of hours, and several great food vendors lined up.  The Municipal Band will play as usual, so we’re going to end up with a great event for the whole family.”

Crothers said the association is still accepting donations from individuals and businesses. Donations of $40 provide the donor with a t-shirt and special perks the day of the event. The upcoming Fourth Fest marks the first time in two years Greenville has had a 4th of July celebration.
