Students at the Pocahontas Center were recognized recently for a year of reading success with the Accelerated Reader Program. By exceeding 19,000 points, the students sent Principal Jason Rakers to the school roof for a day.  This school year also saw the students reach an all-time high number of points collectively, with a new record of 23,387 points.  Reaching a new school-wide record sent the school secretary, Kimberly Quesada to the roof along with Principal Rakers.

The top 10 students in the school were recognized, along with the top three point earners in each class, those who reached all four quarter goals and those who passed every test taken throughout the school year.
